Australian Sheep and Wool Show at Bendigo Showgrounds, 17 July 2025. I had been disproportionately excited for this: a day trip to Bendigo to look at sheep, pick out some nice yarn and enjoy the finest agricultural attractions. I wasn't disappointed. It was a quick and easy drive

There's a yarn shop with an emailing list, and I'm on it. I got there the usual way after buying something from them, and I stayed on it because I genuinely liked their emails. They're good at picking out patterns that match whatever yarns

I have been really enjoying knitting lately and had been looking forward to this project for a long time. Now it is complete! A few years ago I picked up a secondhand copy of More Modern Top-Down Knitting by Kristina McGowan at the Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar. It's a
